Patriots reportedly received AFC championship rings following minicamp this week

Although it certainly wasn't as big as some of the Super Bowl celebrations at Robert Kraft's house in some recent summers, the Patriots apparently were presented AFC championship rings following the three-day minicamp session last week.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, owner Robert Kraft addressed the team before handing out the rings and noted it wasn't the rings he wanted to give to them, but it's better to lose in the Super Bowl than to not play in it at all. The Patriots owner also noted the work ethic of the team and how a major part of his own success is surrounding himself with good people.

Of course there was likely a financial aspect for Kraft as well to pay for the rings, which seems like a very nice gesture that the players surely appreciated.

It makes sense for this to take place after the minicamp sessions as it doesn't seem like every player will be in attendance this week for the final week of OTAs before the team breaks off until training camp in late July.
