The Corey Coleman experiment didn't last long.

On Saturday, the Patriots released the wide receiver from the practice squad. He was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 20 after being released by the team on on Sept. 17. He was originally signed on Sept. 11, but was inactive for the game on Sept. 16.

Coleman has now been traded once and released three times in the last seven weeks.

The receiver was a first-round pick by the Browns in 2016 before being traded to Buffalo during training camp. In 19 games with 18 starts he has 56 receptions for 718 yards and five touchdowns.

The Patriots did not make a corresponding move.
