Patriots reportedly release veteran offensive lineman

The Patriots made a roster move on their off-day Tuesday.

According to NFL Media's Mike Garafolo, offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch has been released. The 25-year-old was signed Sept. 17, but was inactive for the two games he was around for.

Benenoch was brought aboard following injuries to Marcus Cannon and Isaiah Wynn, but Cannon seems fully healthy and the team was carrying an extra offensive lineman.

The open roster spot could go to Benjamin Watson, who is returning from a four-game suspension, but the team has a roster exemption for him and doesn't have to officially add him until later in the week.
