Will Hastings is back with the Patriots.
On Sunday, the wide receiver was part of several players released to get the roster down to 80 players, but then after two players -- Dan Vitale and Najee Toran -- opted out Monday, the team re-signed him, according to Jim McBride of The Boston Globe.
Hastings played at Auburn with Jarrett Stidham and he was his leading receiver in 2017 when he finished with 525 receiving yards.
The wide out will be likely competing for a spot on the practice squad as he's a long-shot to make the active roster.
He also has a kicking background as an onside kick specialist.
