Patriots officially add 3 players to roster on first day of full pads

Monday was the first day of full pads for the Patriots and it also came with three new players being added to the roster.

The team officially signed offensive lineman Ben Braden and tight ends Paul Butler and TE Alex Ellis.

All three were present at practice and all previously had worked out for the team.

Butler and Ellis are two veterans that will help the tight ends room, as before Monday there was just rookies Devin Asiasi, Dalton Keene, Jake Burt and Rashod Berry, along with Ryan Izzo. With that being said, neither have a ton of NFL experience.

Braden will add depth to the offensive line having been in the league since 2017 and has bounced back and forth between the Jets and Packers.

All three have the potential to make the roster given the lack of depth at the positions.
