The Patriots' moves on Saturday were more than just releasing players to get down to a 53-man roster.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, David Andrews has been placed on injured reserve. In addition, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss, so has Derek Rivers. Since these moves happened Saturday, before the initial 53-man rosters, these two players are out for the entire year.

For Andrews, it was expected following being diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs earlier in the week. Rivers suffered a lower body injury against the Titans and hasn't seen the field since. This will be the second time in his three-year career he's missed an entire season.

In addition, Yates adds wide out Cameron Meredith will stay on PUP. He's not eligible to come back until at least Week 6.
