Josh Gordon in full pads, likely off NFI headlines news from Patriots practice

FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots got some more good news relating to the wide receiver position Sunday at practice.

Josh Gordon was present in full pads, which is an indication he's coming off NFI. In the last week, the team has got Julian Edelman, Demaryius Thomas and Gordon back at practice, which certainly helps given how slim the depth chart was in Tennessee when practicing with the Titans.

Patrick Chung was also present after missing last Tuesday and also not being in attendance for Thursday's preseason game. It is his first appearance since being indicted on cocaine charges in New Hampshire. It's worth noting the veteran safety had a wrap on his wrist, which could be part of the reason he missed last week.

It wasn't all good news, as there were a number of players missing. Those included: David Andrews, Brandon King, Ben Watson, Trent Harris, Cameron Meredith (PUP), Damien Harris, Shilique Calhoun, Derek Rivers, Maurice Harris, Lance Kendricks, Keionta Davis and Yodny Cajuste.

King and Watson aren't major surprises given their injuries sustained in last Thursday's preseason game.

The Patriots will practice again Monday and Tuesday before hosting the Giants in the fourth and final preseason game Thursday.
