The first round has come and gone and the Patriots used both their selections taking offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn at No. 23 overall and running back Sony Michel at No. 31 overall with both players attending Georgia.

Although they selected those two players, there are a few reports that suggest the Patriots had interest in a few other players.

-- According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Patriots had targeted Arkansas center Frank Ragnow and tried to move in front of Detroit at No. 20 overall to take him. The Lions ultimately were able to take him with the 20th overall pick, Matt Patricia's first selection as head coach. The Patriots had some good intel on Ragnow, as new staffer Bret Bielema coached him at Arkansas.

-- The Patriots also may have been prepared to take Alabama linebacker Rashaan Evans at No. 23 overall until the Titans swooped in and traded up to No. 22 and took him. The report from ESPN's Cameron Wolfe also said the Steelers had showed interest in trading up for him, as well.

-- Not related to the draft, Pro Football Talk is reporting the Patriots and 49ers are talking about a possible trade for offensive tackle Trent Brown. Standing 6-foot-8, Brown has started every game the last two years at left tackle.

Rounds 2 and 3 of the draft are set for Friday night with the Patriots selecting at Nos. 43 and 63 overall in the second round and No. 95 overall in the third round.
