FOXBORO -- The Patriots have addressed their lack of tight end depth.
According to the Falcons, the two teams have swung a deal with Eric Saubert going to the Patriots in exchange for a conditional seventh-round pick. Saubert was drafted in the fifth round in 2017. He made five catches for 48 yards last year.
The 6-foot-5 tight end could be a move relating to Matt LaCosse, who was injured Thursday night and is not on the practice field Monday morning.
New England will need to make a roster move to make room for Saubert.
