The Patriots continue to build their roster for 2020.

On Friday, the team agreed to terms with fullback Dan Vitale, according to multiple reports. The 26-year-old has spent the last two years in Green Bay after spending his first two years in the league with the Browns. The Northwestern product has played in 44 career games and has had just one carry, but has had 15 receptions.

The bigger question relating to the move is what does this mean for James Develin?

He was placed on injured reserve early last season with a neck injury, and with him being 31 years old, it's possible he will be retiring. The signing doesn't give off an impression that the team is confident about his availability for 2020.

It is clear the team needs a fullback given how much the running game struggled last season and how much of it is dependent on having a lead blocker.
