Pro Football Focus released its top players of the decade this week, and unsurprisingly the Patriots were well-represented.
Of course, Tom Brady was No. 1.
"Arguably the greatest player the game has ever seen is also the best player of the 2010s," PFF wrote. "Brady owns the highest single-season grade PFF has ever given to a quarterback for his 2016 season, and his four-year stretch of play from 2015-18 was the greatest four-year run of play we have seen at the position. Brady defines clutch — in the fourth quarter and overtime, he still has the highest PFF grade of the decade."
Aaron Donald was No. 2, Drew Brees No. 3 and then Rob Gronkowski came in at No. 5.
New England also had current safety Devin McCourty at No. 25.
"After starting the decade as a promising young cornerback, McCourty transitioned to safety in 2012 and ended up becoming one of the league's best players at the position," PFF wrote. "He's played over 1,000 snaps in every season of his career, including the playoffs, and his solid all-around playing style has meshed perfectly in New England's defensive scheme."
Other players with Patriots ties include Antonio Brown (No. 13), Darrelle Revis (No. 23), Michael Bennett (No. 74), Stephon Gilmore (No. 76), Chandler Jones (No. 80) and Aqib Talib (No. 85).
