Patriots will not charge fans for parking in 2020

It remains unclear if the NFL will have fans at its games or not in 2020, but if there are, parking will be free at Gillette Stadium.

The move was announced in a letter to Patriots season ticket holders recently.

"In order to show our appreciation for your commitment to the Patriots during this unique season -- and in acknowledgment that it will be different than any other season we have ever experienced together -- we want to share that we will provide free parking in all Gillette Stadium lots this year," the letter read. "From both a safety and convenience standpoint, we hope this will simplify one aspect of your game-day experience in 2020 and serve to express our gratitude for your support."

This comes a few weeks after the team announced it was allowing high risk to COVID-19 season ticket holders the chance to opt out for 2020 and keep their tickets for future seasons.

No official announcement on fans at games has been made yet.

The Patriots, like other teams, are scheduled to begin training camp later this month.
