Blake Swihart appears to be the new Red Sox backup first baseman.
Following the Hanley Ramirez move late last week, Mitch Moreland was the only real first baseman on the roster, but Swihart has the versatility and has been working out at the position the last few days. He will get his first crack at it Wednesday afternoon in the series finale against the Blue Jays. He's played in two games at first base this season, but this will be his first start.
Moreland will get the day off as the Red Sox face right-hander Sam Gaviglio.
Mookie Betts is also out of the lineup for a fourth straight game with left side tightness, but manager Alex Cora didn't seem too concerned as it is more of a precaution. With Betts out, Jackie Bradley Jr. will play right field, Andrew Benintendi center field and J.D. Martinez left field.
Dustin Pedroia will also get the day off as Brock Holt will play second base and Eduardo Nunez will serve as the DH.
Christian Vazquez will catch Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez.
Here's the complete Red Sox lineup.

Xander Bogaerts, SS
J.D. Martinez, LF
Rafael Devers, 3B
Eduardo Nunez, DH
Brock Holt, 2B
Blake Swihart, 1B
