The Red Sox made a few roster moves Tuesday.
Left-handed pitcher Darwinzon Hernandez was recalled from Double-A Portland in order to start against the Rangers, and the corresponding move was placing reliever Ryan Brasier on the bereavement/family medical emergency list.
Brasier has made 31 appearances for the Red Sox this season posting a 3.77 ERA, while holding opponents to a .217 batting average. The right-hander took the loss Monday when he allowed a run in the 11th inning.
The Red Sox and Rangers will play the second game of their four-game series Tuesday night.
