The Red Sox made a few small roster moves on Wednesday before taking on the Tigers in spring training action.

The team reassigned five players to minor league camp: first baseman Tommy Joseph, left-handed pitchers Daniel McGrath and Bobby Poyner, and right-handed pitchers Bryan Mata and Denyi Reyes.

There are not any surprises in this group with Poyner and Mata being the biggest names.

Poyner appeared in 13 major league games last season and had a 6.94 ERA, while Mata is one of the best pitching prospects in the system. The 20-year-old was with Double-A Portland last season.

Boston now has 62 players in big league camp, including all 40 players from the 40-man roster and 22 non-roster invitees.
