Maybe Matt Patricia isn't going to Detroit after all.
According to the New York Daily News, all signs point to Patricia becoming the next coach of the Giants. NFL rules state Patricia cannot execute a contract until the Patriots' season ends.
It was assumed Patricia was destined for the Lions, but in recent days reports started to come out that Patricia preferred the Giants job.
Patricia could take some members of the Patriots coaching staff with him, so that is something to watch for in the coming weeks.
As for Josh McDaniels, this would seemingly leave just the Colts job, as he interviewed with the Giants, Colts and Bears, and it would appear the Colts job is the only one which remains available.
