It's been reported Rob Gronkowski contemplated retirement during the 2017 season and wasn't happy over the course of the year, but there was no exact reason as to why.
Now, we have at least one specific example.
According to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald, Bill Belichick chastised Gronkowski in front of the team for being a TB12 client early-on in the 2017 season.
The report also notes Gronkowski is down five pounds from his playing weight of 265 pounds, but he will get back to it before training camp this summer.
Tom Brady's personal trainer Alex Guerrero, who treats players at the TB12 Sports Therapy Center, was reportedly banned from Gillette Stadium by Belichick during the season and also could no longer travel with the team to away games or get sideline access.
It would appear Belichick and everyone involved need to have a clear understanding of what can and cannot happen with Guerrero before training begins so there isn't a repeat of what took place last season.
Listen below to Kirk & Callahan discussing the report on Monday morning.
