One of the top defensive free agents is apparently on his way to New England -- for a visit.
According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, defensive end Adrian Clayborn plans on flying to New England Thursday night for a visit with the team. He spent the first four years of his career with the Buccaneers and his last three in Atlanta.
The 6-foot-3, 281-pounder turns 30 in July and is coming off his best season. He finished with 9.5 sacks, although it's worth noting six came in one game. He didn't play against the Patriots in Super Bowl LI, as he was injured.
Clayborn was a first-round pick by the Buccaneers in 2011 and is arguably the best edge-rushers available.
