In two years in the league, Patriots offensive lineman Joe Thuney has stayed healthy, missing a total of nine offensive snaps. But, it appears like that run has come to an end, although it doesn't appear to be anything serious.
According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Thuney will have foot surgery, which will force him to miss OTAs, but it is not expected to impact his 2018 season.
Two players who may benefit from getting more reps are third-year backup offensive lineman Ted Karras and first-round pick Isaiah Wynn. There's some question as to what position Wynn will play as he's spent most of his time as a tackle, but many expected him to shift to the interior line in the NFL because of his size.
It will be interesting to see what the Patriots do with Wynn, especially now that there's an opportunity for starting reps.
