If Rob Gronkowski decides not to play football again, he appears to have another option.
According to Dave Meltzer in his Wrestling Observer newsletter, WWE is trying to sign Gronkowski to a contract. The report adds WWE "is willing to offer a similar style deal to Gronkowski that they offered to Ronda Rousey."
Immediately after the Super Bowl loss, Gronkowski was asked about a Pro Football Talk report which said the game could have been his last, and the tight end didn't want to address it, but also didn't commit to playing next season.
Some believe this may be a ploy at a new contract for the 28-year-old.
Gronkowski does have some wrestling experience as he was part of WrestleMania in April of last year.
