FOXBORO -- After missing the final two games of the regular season and the AFC divisional round, Rex Burkhead returned for the AFC title game, but only played three offensive snaps.
Speaking Friday in the Patriots locker room, Burkhead said he's feeling fine.
"I'm feeling good. I am feeling good," he said.
"It's just whatever the coaches want me to do," he added on the lack of playing time.
He was a major part of the Patriots offense during the regular season, especially in the middle of the year when from Weeks 11-14 he had six touchdowns.
The running back spent his first four seasons in the league with the Bengals before signing a one-year deal with the Patriots last offseason. It seems like he made the right decision, as he is living his childhood dream of playing in the Super Bowl.
"[My family is] excited," he said. "They knew it was a dream of mine ever since I was little kid growing up playing to have this chance to play in the Super Bowl. It's a dream come true, for sure. I am just trying to do my best to go out there and help this team get a win."
