Rex Ryan believes Tom Brady more responsible for Patriots' success than Bill Belichick: We saw him in Cleveland

During his appearance with Howard Stern on Wednesday, Tom Brady disagreed with the debate of who was more responsible for the Patriots' success -- himself or Bill Belichick, as he said they both needed each other.

But, it still is something that will continue to be debated for years to come.

Appearing on ESPN Wednesday, via Pro Football Talk, Rex Ryan believes it is Brady.

"It was definitely Tom Brady," he said. "If I've got to take one I'm taking Brady."

Ryan did say Belichick is the best coach of all time, but added he would have numerous Lombardi trophies if he coached Brady, or someone as good as him.

The former Jets and Bills coach said he doesn't think Belichick would have done as well without Brady and pointed to what happened in Cleveland.

"Let's give him somebody else, let's give him Geno Smith, let's give him whoever, and let's see how many Super Bowls he would have won. We saw the answer was zero in Cleveland," he said.

Both parties will surely want to win without the other, but it doesn't mean one was more responsible for the Patriots' success than the other.
