Richard Seymour named finalist for Pro Football Hall of Fame

For the second straight year, Richard Seymour has been named a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

On Thursday, 15 finalists, including Seymour were named. The list also included former Patriots, some for very short time, Torry Holt, Reggie Wayne and John Lynch.


Seymour played a key role in the the Patriots' first three Super Bowls and was voted to seven Pro Bowls.

Appearing on Dale & Keefe Friday, Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin believes Seymour is deserving.

"Seymour is a bad dude," he said.

Here are the rest of the finalists, who will be voted on the day before the Super Bowl: Steve Atwater, Tony Boselli, Isaac Bruce, Leroy Butler, Alan Faneca, Steve Hutchinson, Edgerrin James, Sam Mills, Troy Polamalu, Zach Thomas and Bryant Young.
