After going without a target in the final regular-season game of the year, Rob Gronkowski didn't reach his on-field benchmarks to earn the maximum of $5.5 million in incentives in his tiered incentive-based contract, but that changed Friday.
Gronkowski was named a first-team All-Pro, which was one of the criteria that earned him the maximum incentives ($5.5 million). This means Gronkowski earned the full $10.75 million in salary this past season.
The tight end finished with 69 catches for 1,084 yards and eight touchdowns in 14 games this season.
Tom Brady was also named to the first-team All-Pro team.
