Rob Gronkowski will retire as one of the greatest tight ends to ever play the game.

In nine NFL seasons, the 29-year-old will finish his career with 521 receptions for 7,861 yards and 79 touchdowns, which eventually will likely land him in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Gronkowski will also step away from the game holding a number of NFL records, including most receptions by a tight end in Super Bowl history (23), only tight end with 1,000 yards receiving in postseason history, most touchdowns by a tight end in a single season (18, 2011) and most seasons with 10 or more touchdowns by a tight end (five).
