Rob Gronkowski gives honest assessment of 2019 Patriots

For the first time in eight seasons, the Patriots did not make it to the AFC title game last season.

It was also their first year without Rob Gronkowski since he was drafted in 2010 -- coincidence?

Appearing on "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen, the former Patriots tight end was asked what his thoughts were on the 2019 team and if they would have done better with him?

"Yes, I am a weapon I feel like," Gronkowski said. "I feel like I can stretch the field pretty good and help open up the underneath receivers. Overall, I think going to the playoffs is a sound season, but of course, when you are a New England Patriots fan you want to go all the way every single year, so just making the playoffs isn't enough."

Gronkowski was also asked about the rumors of him potentially unretiring and playing with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay (the Patriots still hold his rights, though).

"The day that I retired, within 24 hours there was already rumors that I was coming out of retirement," he said. "I'm feeling good right now, I'm happy where I'm at, and you just never know, man. You just never know. You never know. I'm not totally done, I like to stay in shape, but I've got to get that feeling back."

He is currently the WWE 24/7 Champion.
