Rookie RB Damien Harris among those likely not to play vs. Giants

FOXBOROUGH -- The following Patriots players were not spotted on the field prior to the preseason finale with the Giants: wide receiver Cameron Meredith, running back Damien Harris, cornerback A.J. Howard, center David Andrews (not in uniform), offensive lineman Cole Croston, defensive tackle Michael Bennett, tight end Lance Kendricks, tight end Ben Watson and defensive end Derek Rivers.

These players likely will not play in the game.

Harris is the biggest name after he returned to practice Tuesday after missing Sunday and Monday due to an injury suffered last Thursday against the Panthers.

Tom Brady was on the field, but did not have his ankles taped meaning he likely will have the night off.

Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon and Demaryius Thomas were on the field in uniform, which indicates they could be making their preseason debuts. New offensive linemen Korey Cunningham and Jermaine Eluemunor were also on the field in uniform.

In addition, Matt LaCosse, Shilique Calhoun and Trent Harris are in uniform after sitting out last week.
