FOXBOROUGH -- Following Antonio Brown's release from the Patriots amid numerous allegations, his agent has put out a statement.
"It's unfortunate things didn't work out with the Patriots," said Drew Rosenhaus on Twitter. "But Antonio is healthy and is looking forward to his next opportunity in the NFL. He wants to play the game he loves and he hopes to play for another team soon."
Brown has been accused of sexual assault and rape in a lawsuit, and then there was a second woman mentioned in a Sports Illustrated story claiming Brown made sexual advances when she was painting a picture of him in 2017.
“The New England Patriots are releasing Antonio Brown," a team spokesman said in a statement. "We appreciate the hard work of many people over the past 11 days, but we feel that it is best to move in a different direction at this time.”
The Patriots will host the Jets Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
