It didn't take long for teams to show interest in free agent cornerback Richard Sherman after he was released by the Seahawks on Friday.
According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, Sherman has received preliminary interest from the 49ers, Titans, Lions, Raiders, Texans, Buccaneers and Packers.
ESPN's Adam Schefter adds Sherman will meet with the 49ers on Saturday and they will try and get a contract done. It is worth noting they have the most cap space in the NFL, so having the money to sign Sherman should be no problem.
As it relates to the Patriots not showing any interest yet, given their lack of cap space and other more pressing needs, it's not a surprise. If Sherman's market doesn't develop like expected, then perhaps the team could be in play, but as it stands now they are not interested.
