FOXBORO -- Although NFL commissioner Roger Goodell may be hoping the Patriots beat the Jaguars in the AFC championship to set up a more intriguing Super Bowl, he won't be in attendance to see it.
According to a league source, Goodell will be in Philadelphia for the NFC championship game between the Eagles and Vikings.
It is worth noting Goodell did attend the Week 1 matchup between the Patriots and Chiefs when the Patriots unveiled their Super Bowl LI banner, and also one preseason game this summer.
New England will host the Jaguars in the AFC championship at 3:05 Sunday afternoon.
