Both Malcolm Butler and Bill Belichick have now spoken since the Super Bowl and still there's no real explanation as to why the cornerback was benched.

Butler addressed the matter at his introductory press conference and he didn't say anything negative about Belichick and the Patriots. In fact, Butler seemed to say he wasn't 100 percent focused the week of the game.

"I wasn't feeling too well," he said. "I felt like that was kind of part of it. Not to blame anybody. I accept full responsibly for myself. I am not blaming the New England Patriots or no one. It could have been just me, you know. It could have been anything, but I was not feeling too well and the New England Patriots are all about doing their job and they want everybody locked in and focused 100 percent and that probably was not the case. I am glad to be a Tennessee Titan."

Sunday at the NFL owners meetings in Orlando, Belichick was asked about what happened, but said he's not going to get into what happened last year.

"I have a lot of respect for Malcolm," Belichick said to local reporters. "[Since] the day he got here in rookie minicamp four years ago, he's always competed as hard as he could. He was a great competitor on the field, and I totally respect that. I'm not going to get into last year, next year, some other year. I talked to Malcolm, wished him well at Tennessee. Obviously, Mike [Vrabel] and Jon [Robinson] are great people who I have a lot of respect for in that organization; I have a lot of respect for Malcolm, and we wish him well."

With Butler and Belichick both speaking on the matter without giving any real explanation, it's likely there won't ever be one.
