Source: Tight end Matt LaCosse visiting Patriots Thursday

The Patriots are taking a look at a journeyman tight end on Thursday.

According to a source, Matt LaCosse, formerly of the Broncos, is meeting with the Patriots.

LaCosse, 26, was picked up by the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2015 before bouncing back-and-forth between the active roster and practice squad. He joined the Broncos late in 2017.

Last year with Denver, he finished with 24 catches for 250 yards and a touchdown. LaCosse is 6-foot-6, 255 pounds, so he can help in the blocking game as well.

After releasing Dwayne Allen last week and Rob Gronkowski's status being up in the air, it's no surprise the Patriots are taking a look at tight ends.
