Titans safety Kevin Byard was one of the best in the league this year, as he had eight interceptions, which were tied for the most in the NFL, and was named to the All-Pro team.
Byard said he and the rest of his teammates aren't afraid of facing Tom Brady and the Patriots, and in doing so he took a shot at Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles.
“It’s a playoff game, so it’s not like it’s the preseason where I can go out there, ‘Oh, it’s Brady,’ and I’m chillin,'" Byard said via Tennessean.com. “This is a playoff game. So I don’t really care if it was Joe Montana. You know what I’m saying? I’m trying to go out there and win the game. I want to make him look like Blake Bortles if I can and try to catch a couple picks.
“Tom Brady is a great quarterback, but it’s a playoff game. I’m not really looking at it like that.”
Brady threw eight interceptions this past season, his most since 2014, and six of them came over his last six games.
The one thing the Titans have going for them is they are 9-2 in games decided by four points for fewer since last season.
