FOXBORO -- Not many people are giving the Titans any chance of beating the Patriots this Saturday night in Foxboro.
As of Wednesday, the Patriots are 13-point favorites, and they have beaten the Titans in their last six meetings, including the playoffs.
Tennessee doesn't seem to care.
"I don't give two [expletive] one way or the other," offensive tackle Taylor Lewan said to reporters about the spread. "It was an eight-point spread last week. This week it's more. So what?"
"I know people are counting us out, but I think this is the kind of team people make movies about," he added.
Besides being 13-point underdogs, they have 80-1 odds to win the Super Bowl.
"Did you say 80?" linebacker Derrick Morgan said. "How many teams are left in the playoffs? And we're 80-1? It doesn’t surprise me. You have to earn respect in this league. So you can’t just get respect off of one road playoff win. It’s a gradual process. So you look at it, you use it as motivation, whatever. But it doesn’t have too much of an impact on me personally and I don’t think too much as a team.”
Quarterback Marcus Mariota is looking forward to the challenge.
"This is what I've worked hard for, it's to get into these situations, to get in these kinds of games," he said. "To see where it's come, to be a part of it, I think is very gratifying. Obviously, it's not the end of the road, but this is what you want to do and this is who we want to be consistently."
New England has played in six straight AFC title games.
