Tom Brady didn't see Rob Gronkowski press conference, but believes NFL should explore making CBD oil legal

Last week, Rob Gronkowski held a press conference to announce a partnership with CBDMedic, a subsidiary of Abacus Health Solutions that produces a line of Cannabidiol-based pain-relief medications.

One of their products is CBD oil, which Gronkowski said helped his body heal a great deal following last season and a long career.

But, it is on the NFL's list of banned substances.

"I'm here today to appeal to the sports governing bodies of the world to update their position on CBD, whether that's the NBA, MLB or NFL," Gronkowski said at his press conference. "It's just time."

Appearing on The Greg Hill Show Tuesday morning, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said he did not see Gronkowski's press conference, but added he does believe the NFL should explore making CBD oil legal.

“I think they should explore it and do what is best for the players," he said. "I kind of have thought that about a lot of different things. I think there’s a lot that goes into those types of decisions that are all collectively bargained. I know they are collectively bargaining a lot of those things. We’ll see how it shakes out.”

Many believe Gronkowski could un-retire and join the Patriots at some point this season, but as much as that narrative continues there's been nothing concrete from either side to indicate it's a real possibility.
