Tom Brady was perhaps more banged up at the end of the year than first believed.
In addition to a right elbow injury that was listed on the injury report during the second half of the year and he was still shaking it out quite a bit even leading into the playoffs, Brady also had a lower-body injury.
According to NFL Media's Mike Giardi, Brady was dealing with a foot injury that he suffered some time in December.
This likely explains the different cleats he wore down the stretch and also running sprints up and down the sideline during the Miami game.
Brady finished the season completing 60.8 percent of his passes for 4,057 yards with 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
While it wasn't his best season, health and who he was working with were likely the main reasons why.
