Someone with some connection to Tom Brady made a lot of money on Sunday.
According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, a family version of the Patriots' Super Bowl LI ring with "Brady" on it sold Sunday morning for $344,927.
Ken Goldin, president of Goldin Auctions, which sold the ring, did not give any details on the buyer or the seller. The ring is about 10 percent smaller than the ones members of the team received.
Typically, players can give their family and friends the option to buy versions of their own Super Bowl rings, which is likely how the ring got made.
