DOLPHINS
Pros
There aren’t a ton of positives currently with the Dolphins, but that could certainly change in a hurry considering they have close to $90 million to spend this offseason, the most in the NFL. If Brady were to want to put together a “Super Team,” Miami would the perfect place given its available money. Miami also isn’t a bad place to spend time if you’re Gisele Bundchen.
In addition, Brady is familiar with coach Brian Flores from his time in New England, and Flores isn’t the only one, either. Owner Stephen Ross attended Michigan and has some ties to Brady, as well.
Cons
Despite a few positives, there are a lot of negatives.
No. 1, there isn’t much talent right now in Miami. Yes, that could change in a hurry, but there’s no guarantees. Also, while Flores is a familiar face, he’s far from a players coach. Brady may not like some of the things he would require of him. Additionally, Miami just hired 68-year-old Chan Gailey as its offensive coordinator. It’s hard to see Gailey defaulting to Brady’s Patriots system. That does not feel like a good match at all.
Then there’s the AFC East factor. Would Brady really want to leave the Patriots and face his former team twice next season? This probably isn’t at the top of his con list, but it’s certainly something to consider.
