FOXBORO -- Even though the Patriots will not play this weekend, their season is far from over.
That is the message Tom Brady delivered when speaking Thursday, the final day the Patriots practiced this week before getting the weekend off.
"I think it's still trying to stay sharp," Brady said. "It is still football season so it's not a week off at all. We're trying to stay sharp and we've worked hard to get to this point, but there's still a lot more to go. We are still writing our story and hopefully we write a good one."
As for Thursday's practice, it was held inside the Empower Field House as there were blizzard conditions in Foxboro.
"It's pretty nasty, but it was nice being in the bubble," Brady said. "But, yeah, these conditions – this is that kind of year here. It's been abnormally cold, but I think it's been good for us to get out there and practice in it. So, I think today would have been impossible."
"That was a lot of wind," he added. "It would be interesting if we'd played today. I mean, I don't know what would have happened, but it would have been tough – kind of like Buffalo had that one against Indy this year.
The Patriots will host their divisional round game on Jan. 13 at 8:15 p.m.
