Once again, the Patriots are predicted to be the best team in the NFL next season, although not as good as in the past.
According to ESPN, Westgate SuperBook has the Patriots' 2018 regular-season win total at 11, which is down from the 12 wins it set last season. Still, the 11-win number is the most predicted for any NFL team. Last offseason, the Patriots opened at 12.5, which was the highest win total set since 2001.
There are a few other teams close to the Patriots, though. The Eagles and Steelers each opened at 10.5 and then the Packers and Vikings are at 10. No other team is predicted to reach double digits.
The Rams made the biggest jump from last year, as their win total was six last year and is now 9.5 this year.
On paper, New England has a fairly tough schedule, especially opening with Houston, Jacksonville and Detroit with Weeks 2 and 3 being on the road.
