What Bill Belichick said in locker room following win over Bills

It wasn't the prettiest win Sunday in Buffalo, but Bill Belichick seemed pleased with his team's effort.

Belichick pointed to the defense's big plays and special teams contributions when speaking to the team in the locker room after the game, courtesy of Patriots.com.

"OK fellas, just what we thought it would be," Belichick said. "Mental and physical toughness. That is the way to stick it out and grind it out, now. It is never easy here. That's the way to stick in here and grind it out. Look, we have to learn some lessons here. Overall, just a little bit better execution, but we had some critical situations and got a couple of big plays on defense. Good job fellas.

"Blocked punt there, way to step up there, J.C. (Jackson). Good team win. All three groups contributed. Alright, got do a good job and continue to play complementary football and on the road down there in Washington this week. Congrats, men. Congrats."

The Patriots will take on the 0-4 Redskins this Sunday.
