J.D. Martinez posted his second multi-home run performance of the season on Monday as the Red Sox beat the Indians 12-5 to in the opening game of their three-game series.
Martinez belted a home run into the opposing team's bullpen in the sixth inning to pile on after the Sox posted a five-run fifth inning. He came back to the plate in the eighth inning, extending the lead to seven with a high-arcing bomb over the Green Monster.
Hitting has been contagious among this group and with a home run count of 11 to go along with 31 RBIs thus far, Martinez continues to be a valuable asset to Boston's offense.
