Hudson was among the list of relievers the Red Sox had reportedly shown interest in, but he'll be going elsewhere. This will be his fourth team in the last three years.

The 32-year-old has a 3.00 ERA with 48 strikeouts in the same number of innings. He had a slow start to the season but has been strong since, grabbing six wins with two saves in four opportunities.

The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported the return on Hudson will be High-A right-hander Kyle Johnston, a sixth round pick from 2017.

The trade deadline is 4 p.m. Wednesday.
