Possible Red Sox target Joakim Soria has been traded to the Brewers in exchange for Kodi Medeiros, Wilber Perez, and cash considerations, the White Sox announced Thursday.

The right-handed veteran reemerged as a solid closer for Chicago this season. Through his last 23 games, he had a 0.74 ERA with 32 strikeouts.

He has allowed no extra-base hits in his last 25.0 innings pitched -- the MLB's longest active streak. He also hasn't allowed a home run in his last 28.2 innings, according to Inside Edge.

Dave Dombrowski had dealt for Soria in the past, and the 34-year-old could’ve served as a reliable option against right-handed hitters.
