Watch: Bill Belichick pumps up Garden crowd as Game 2 banner captain

It's the Stanley Cup Final and the Bruins are going big with their fan banner captains.

After having eight members of the 2011 Stanley Cup championship team serve as the banner captains for Game 1, the B's brought in someone many of us had assumed would politely turn down the honor for Game 2: Bill Belichick.

Needless to say, the TD Garden crowd went nuts when Belichick's name appeared on the jumbotron, followed by a shot of him waving the Bruins flag as the giant Bruins banner began its lap around the lower bowl. Massachusetts Special Olympics athlete James Coffey joined Belichick for fan banner duties.

Belichick is the fourth member of the Patriots organization to be a fan banner captain during this Bruins playoff run, joining Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and David Andrews.

Of course, Belichick's first Super Bowl title as Patriots coach also came against a team from St. Louis, when the Patriots beat the heavily favored Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI.

There's been plenty of speculation about Tom Brady possibly getting in on the fun too, with David Krejci noting there's a "little bromance" between the Patriots quarterback and Bruins captain Zdeno Chara. Perhaps for a possible Game 5 or Game 7?

Check out the video of Belichick below:
