The Bruins have the group they're taking to the Toronto bubble for the playoffs, and the good news is that there aren't any surprises.
David Pastrnak, Ondrej Kase and Nick Ritchie are all on the final roster, which isn't surprising but is good to see confirmed given the practice time they missed -- all of the last two weeks in the case of Pastrnak and Kase, and each of the last three days in the case of Ritchie. Coach Bruce Cassidy said Saturday that he believed Pastrnak and Ritchie would be able to travel with the team Sunday, but that he wasn't sure about Kase.
Cassidy also said Saturday that the team was planning to take all four goalies and all 10 defenseman they had in camp, which is in fact the case. That means the two cuts they needed to make were going to be up front, and those two wound up being Anton Blidh and Paul Carey. Carey missed each of the Bruins' last two practices, and Blidh had also missed a couple practices during the two-week camp.
Several of the Bruins' top prospects made the cut, including forwards Jack Studnicka, Trent Frederic and Zach Senyshyn, and defensemen Urho Vaakanainen and Jakub Zboril.
