Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final has given us another big hit to talk about, but unlike Torey Krug's in Game 1, this one wasn't clean.
With just over two minutes left in the first period of what was a 2-2 game at the time, Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist hit Bruins defenseman Matt Grzelcyk into the boards from behind with a shoulder to the head. Grzelcyk stayed down for a while after the hit and needed help getting off the ice and down the tunnel to the locker room.
Sundqvist only got a two-minute minor for boarding, although it certainly looks like it should've been a five-minute major and game misconduct. You would expect Sundqvist will be hearing from the NHL's Department of Player Safety.
The argument against supplemental discipline probably boils down to saying Grzelcyk turned at the last second. While he kind of does, it seems like Sundqvist should've been able to adjust.
Grzelcyk did not return to the Bruins bench for the start of the second period.
