More hand injury drama! OK, so this might not get the around-the-clock coverage that Tom Brady's thumb did, but it's certainly not insignificant. The Celtics announced Friday afternoon that guard Marcus Smart will miss approximately two weeks after suffering right hand lacerations in a "non-basketball incident" before Wednesday night's game in Los Angeles against the Clippers.

Smart tweeted out that he is "embarrassed and disappointed" in his actions and that he suffered the injury when he "swiped at and hit a picture frame."

"I want to take this time to express my sincerest apologies to my teammates, coaches, and most of all the amazing Boston Celtics fans," Smart tweeted. "I'm embarrassed and disappointed in my actions. I swiped at and hit a picture frame on the wall. I feel like I let all y'all down"

"I promise I will learn from this situation and come back better than ever," Smart added in a second tweet. "I love y'all and I truly appreciate all the support"

Smart is averaging 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists in a little over 30 minutes per game this season.
