The NHL has reviewed Brad Marchand's jab to the back of the head of Blue Jackets defenseman Scott Harrington and will reportedly not issue any supplemental discipline.

As @Aportzline reported, no discipline will be handed out to Boston's Brad Marchand. I will buck the media majority. The punch, as greasy as it was, wasn't forceful enough to warrant supplemental discipline. Should have been a penalty.

The incident occurred with 1:03 left in the third period of the Bruins' 2-1 Game 3 loss. There was no penalty called, as none of the officials appeared to see the jab.

The jab seemed to be a clear indication of Marchand becoming more frustrated. He has zero points in three games in the series and also took a retaliatory penalty in the second period of Game 3 that led to a crucial power-play goal for Columbus.

Needless to say, the Bruins need Marchand to be both more productive and more disciplined going forward.
