Rick Nash is not going to waste a minute of Bruins run.
Acquired from the Rangers early Sunday morning, the 33-year-old winger has arrived in Buffalo and will make his Bruins debut in Sunday's head-to-head with the Sabres.
It's worth noting that Nash's obvious eagerness to get into games with his new team is not a total shock, as it's been a full seven days since Nash last played, scoring a goal and firing five shots on net in a 7-4 loss to the Flyers on Feb. 18.
"I haven't played in a week, so it's going to be nice to get back out there" Nash said. "[Tonight I'll] try to get my timing back, trying to get my legs back under me."
There's also something to be said for Nash's desire to get adjusted to his teammates and the 'positive vibe' around the Black and Gold as soon as possible.
"I wanted to go to a place that wanted me and a place that had a great chance to win," Nash said about his arrival with the Bruins. "I think Boston fits both those perfectly."
Anton Khudobin gets the call in net for the Bruins. Khudobin stopped 18-of-20 in his last start, and comes in action with 13 wins and a .922 save percentage in 20 starts this season.
Brandon Carlo will be a healthy scratch, as Adam McQuaid draws back into action.
Here are the expected lines and pairing for the Bruins…
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - David Pastrnak
Jake DeBrusk - David Krejci - Rick Nash
Danton Heinen - Riley Nash - David Backes
Tim Schaller - Sean Kuraly - Noel Acciari
Zdeno Chara - Charlie McAvoy
